Delhi Shocker: Man Leaps from Mayur Vihar-1 Metro Station Building, Leaving Onlookers Stunned and Horrified.

A shocking incident has come to fore from Delhi’s Mayur Vihar-1 metro station, where a man jumped off the building. He kept hanging from the corridor’s railing for half an hour before letting himself go. The man caught the attention of everyone present at the station. In a bid to save him, Delhi Metro personnel and CISF, local police, PCR and fire brigade personnel had gathered and attempted to assist him. But the man did not heed anyone and took the extreme action. The incident was captured on camera by passengers who witnessed the incident.
Subsequent to which, he was admitted at LBS Hospital for treatment. Delhi Police informed that a mobile phone and a piece of paper containing contact numbers, a metro card and Rs 1,370 in cash were recovered from the individual. The man is Vikash Sharma, 45 years old.

“Information was received from the Mayur Vihar-1 station controller about an individual, Vikram Sharma (45) hanging off the road’s side for approximately half an hour. CISF, Delhi Metro personnel, local police, PCR & fire brigade attempted to rescue the individual. The individual jumped on the road despite all attempts. He was rushed to LBS Hospital for treatment. A mobile and a piece of paper containing contact numbers, a metro card and cash Rs 1,370 were recovered from the individual. The injured individual was referred to GTB Hospital for further treatment,” said the Delhi Police.
NGO Attributes Marital Dispute as Suicide Attempt Reason
The video was also posted by a NGO named NCMIndia Council For Men Affairs whose claim was that the accused was involved in a marital conflict and hence, took this extreme step.

It reported, “A Man Jumps off Delhi Metro’s Mayur Vihar station after holding onto the railing for an hour. It was rumored that the Man attempted to commit suicide due to his matrimonial problems. He was hospitalized but his health is critical.”
