Shaheen Khan and Nafisa Khan alleged that police personnel mistreated them during and after an incident near an event in Saket attended by senior political leaders.
According to the journalists, they were attempting to perform their professional duties when police intervened. They alleged that they were subsequently taken to Saket Police Station and assaulted.
The journalists also claimed that the alleged treatment became more severe after their Muslim identity was revealed.
