The Music Video and Its Aftermath
Radhika Yadav, a former state-level tennis player and coach, featured in a romantic music video titled “Karwaan”, alongside singer Inaam Ul Haq. Produced by Zeeshan Ahmad and released under LLF Records, the video was shot in Delhi with Radhika’s mother accompanying her on set. Her participation came through a casting call shared via WhatsApp, and she received only travel reimbursements for her role.
Following the release, co-actor Inaam mentioned that Radhika’s father had seen the video and appreciated it. However, Radhika herself chose not to promote the song on social media and soon deactivated her Instagram account, citing her busy schedule as the reason.
Police Investigate Possible Link to Music Video
Authorities in Haryana have started probing whether Radhika’s role in the music video may have contributed to tensions within her family. While early speculation suggested social media content as a motive for conflict, police have stated that Radhika had not been active on Instagram for nearly a year. Therefore, they are not treating Instagram activity or reels as a direct motive.
Investigators are exploring whether the video might have been one of several factors that caused distress within her household, particularly with her father.
Disputes Over Career and Financial Control
The investigation has uncovered deeper issues between Radhika and her father, Deepak Yadav. After a shoulder injury ended her competitive tennis career, Radhika transitioned into coaching and ran a tennis academy in Gurugram’s Sector 57.
Her success and independence reportedly became a source of friction. According to police, Deepak Yadav felt embarrassed about living off his daughter’s earnings and may have been frustrated by relatives who made remarks about his financial dependence.
This sense of resentment, combined with control issues related to the academy, appears to have played a larger role in the family conflict than any public performance or music video.
A Tragic Turn of Events
On the morning of July 10, 2025, a horrifying incident occurred. Deepak Yadav allegedly shot Radhika five times using a licensed .32 revolver inside their home. She was hit in the back and shoulder, and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The post-mortem confirmed she was struck by four bullets.
Following the incident, Deepak Yadav was arrested and is said to have confessed to the crime.
Investigations Continue
Police are currently reviewing all possible angles, including financial disputes, control over the tennis academy, and any discomfort over Radhika’s public image. They are examining her phone records and other digital footprints to determine if her involvement in the music video contributed to escalating tensions.
Officials have reiterated that Radhika had not shared any reels or recent content on Instagram, and had deactivated her account long before her death. Thus, social media is not being considered the primary trigger.
Remembering Radhika Yadav
Radhika Yadav had built a strong reputation as a tennis player and coach. She once held an ITF doubles ranking of 113 and was known for her discipline and vibrant personality. After retiring from the sport due to injury, she turned to coaching and established a successful training academy.
Friends and colleagues remember her as dedicated and cheerful, which makes the circumstances of her death even more shocking. Old dance reels she shared with her father further underscore how unexpected and tragic this incident is.
Conclusion
While Radhika’s appearance in the music video “Karwaan” drew some attention, current investigations suggest that her murder stemmed from deeper, long-standing family disputes—particularly over financial independence and control. The probe continues, with investigators working to uncover the full truth behind this deeply distressing case.
