Hailing from Goa, Rutvik Sidhanath Buyao is a dynamic musician whose journey is deeply rooted in a rich artistic legacy and strong mentorship. He is the grandson of Goem Shahir Ulhas Buyao—a celebrated singer, songwriter, actor, and a prominent figure in the historic Goa Opinion Poll movement. Music runs deep in his family lineage, with his father, Sidhanath Buyao, playing a pivotal role as his mentor and guiding force throughout his musical journey. With such profound influences shaping his upbringing, Rutvik’s connection to music began early in life, naturally steering him toward a creative path.

While music was always present during his formative years, Rutvik stepped into the professional arena in 2018, when he formally took up drums and percussion and began performing live shows. His musical training further evolved during his time as a student at Whistling Woods International, where he gained hands-on exposure to large-scale performances. During this phase, he also had the opportunity to perform behind legendary singer Sukhwinder Singh—an experience that played a crucial role in sharpening his stage confidence, professionalism, and musical discipline.

Over the years, Rutvik has worked closely with several stalwarts of the Indian music industry. His performance credits include collaborations with Papon’s Band, Sudesh Bhosle, and live performances for Armaan Malik. In addition to live shows, he has contributed creatively to the digital presence of artists such as Amaal Mallik, Neeti Mohan, Nakash Aziz, Nikita Gandhi, and many more—reflecting his versatile involvement across live performance, content creation, and artist branding. He has also been associated with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), highlighting his understanding of the professional and regulatory aspects of the entertainment industry.

Currently, Rutvik is on an independent musical journey, performing under “Rutvik Buyao Live,” where his high-energy solo performances have become his signature strength. Known for seamlessly blending live percussion and drums with electronic music, his sets are designed to make audiences groove alongside DJs, creating an electrifying atmosphere on stage—an area where he truly excels.

Alongside his solo career, Rutvik is also a key member of the band Black In White, where the band’s leader Royston serves as his mentor. Under this guidance, Rutvik continues to evolve musically, refining his craft and stage presence through collaborative performances and learning-driven experiences.

Expanding his journey as an original artist, Rutvik has already released his debut single, “Sapne,” on Spotify, marking an important milestone in his career. With new original tracks lined up for release in 2026, he is steadily building a strong foundation as a recording artist.
